SOUTHWEST WINDS...WARM TEMPERATURES AND VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
LEVELS WILL CREATE AN ELEVATED FIRE DANGER OVER EASTERN IOWA...
NORTHWEST ILLINOIS AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI THIS AFTERNOON. GUSTY
SOUTHWEST WINDS FROM 10 TO 20 MPH MAY CAUSING ANY FIRES TO RAPIDLY
SPREAD THROUGH DRY GRASSES AND BRUSH. DECREASING AND WINDS AND
INCREASING RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES TOWARD SUNSET WILL DIMINISH THE
FIRE WEATHER THREAT.
OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE AVOIDED. MANY COUNTIES AND COMMUNITIES
HAVE BURN BANS IN EFFECT.
