AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN SCOTLAND...CLARK...LEE AND VAN BUREN
COUNTIES...
AT 458 PM CST ALTHOUGH THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED WELL OUT OF THE
AREA...FLOODING CONTINUES...ESPECIALLY...BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE
TOWNS OF FORT MADISON AND MONTROSE IN LEE COUNTY IOWA. STREET FLOODING
IS OCCURRING IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS AROUND TOWN...AND FLOODING HAS
BEEN REPORTED BY SPOTTERS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL IN FORT MADISON.
SHERIFF OFFICES IN VAN BUREN COUNTY IN IOWA AND SCOTLAND COUNTY IN
MISSOURI HAVE NOT REPORTED ANY FLOODING ISSUES LATE THIS AFTERNOON.
A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED. BE
WARY OF FLOODED LOW-LYING AREAS AND PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS AS YOU
DRIVE HOME FROM SCHOOL OR WORK THIS AFTERNOON.
