...PATCHY DENSE FOG POSSIBLE THROUGH DAYBREAK...
A MIX OF SHALLOW GROUND FOG AND MUCH DEEPER, AND DENSE FOG WILL BE
POSSIBLE THROUGH SUNRISE OVER THE QUAD STATE REGION.
THIS FOG WILL BE MOST PREVALENT OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI, SOUTHERN
ILLINOIS AND THE PURCHASE AREA OF WEST KENTUCKY AT THIS TIME. AS
TIME MARCHES TOWARD 7 AM CDT, MOST OF THE FOG WILL SHIFT INTO WEST
KENTUCKY AS DRIER AIR MOVES INTO THE AREA FROM THE NORTH OVERNIGHT.
IN THE MEANTIME, IF YOU MUST TRAVEL OVERNIGHT AND ENCOUNTER A BANK
OF FOG, BE AWARE THAT VISIBILITY OF THE FOG MAY BE REDUCED
DRAMATICALLY OVER A SHORT DISTANCE. DRIVE ACCORDINGLY AND KEEP
PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN YOURSELF AND OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD.
IF YOUR ROUTE TAKES YOU THROUGH NORMALLY FOG PRONE AREAS, ALLOW A
LITTLE EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION THIS MORNING.
THE FOG SHOULD LIFT AND DISSIPATE QUICKLY AFTER SUNRISE ACROSS THE
REGION.
