...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...
THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
* SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...SOUTHWEST INDIANA AND
WESTERN KENTUCKY.
* THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.
* MANY AREAS HAVE RECEIVED 2 TO NEARLY 4 INCHES OF RAIN OVERNIGHT
AND EARLY THIS MORNING...PRIMARILY ALONG AND NORTH AND WEST OF
THE OHIO RIVER INTO SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...SOUTHWEST INDIANA AND
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI. FLOODING IS ONGOING IN SOME AREAS.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL THROUGH THE REST OF THE DAY AND THIS EVENING
COULD RESULT IN STORM TOTAL RAINFALL FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES WITH
ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. FARTHER SOUTH ACROSS WEST
KENTUCKY...ESPECIALLY FROM THE LAKES AREA EASTWARD...AMOUNTS
FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES REMAINS LIKELY...WHICH WILL CAUSE FLOODING TO
DEVELOP.
* GROUND CONDITIONS ARE SATURATED FROM THE ONGOING HEAVY
RAIN...RECENT SNOW MELT AND PAST PRECIPITATION EVENTS. WE HAVE
NUMEROUS REPORTS OF WATER COVERED ROADS...AS WELL AS CREEKS AND
STREAMS OUT OF THEIR BANKS. IF FLOODING HAS NOT DEVELOPED IN
YOUR AREA...IT COULD RAPIDLY AS THE MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL
WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY.
