NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND NORTHWEST MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING AREAS...IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI...DAVIESS...
GRUNDY...HARRISON...LINN MO...LIVINGSTON...MACON...MERCER...
PUTNAM AND SULLIVAN. IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI...ADAIR AND
SCHUYLER. IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI...ANDREW...DE KALB...GENTRY...
NODAWAY AND WORTH.
* THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING
* SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN
COVERAGE AND INTENSITY ACROSS NORTHERN MISSOURI OVERNIGHT. THESE
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE CAPABLE OF CREATING MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAINFALL WITHIN A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. IN ADDITION...THESE
STORMS WILL BE MOVING RELATIVELY SLOWLY INCREASING THE TIME A STORM
STAYS OVER A LOCATION. WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 2 INCHES
ARE LIKELY WITH LOCALIZED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 4 INCHES
POSSIBLE.
* FLASH FLOODING OF LOW-LYING AREAS IS POSSIBLE. CREEKS AND STREAMS
MAY QUICKLY OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS AND COULD LEAD TO DANGEROUS
FLOODING OVER ROADWAYS.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
