A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING DRIZZLE REMAINS
IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING.
* SHORT TERM TRENDS...PRECIPITATION HAD TAPERED OFF ACROSS MUCH
SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI AND FAR SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. A LIGHT
WINTRY MIX CONTINUED ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI INTO THE EASTERN
OZARKS OR GENERALLY NORTHEAST OF A LINE FROM FORT SCOTT KANSAS
TO LEBANON AND SALEM MISSOURI. HIGHWAY DEPARTMENTS INDICATED
THAT PRIMARY ROUTES RANGED FROM MOSTLY CLEAR TO PARTLY COVERED
WITH SOME MOSTLY COVERED ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI.
ACCUMULATIONS FROM THE EVENING HAVE GENERALLY RANGED FROM A
TRACE TO NEAR ONE INCH. ADDITIONAL LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS UP TO AN
INCH MAY OCCUR ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI OR GENERALLY ALONG AND
NORTH OF HIGHWAY 54.
* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ALL OF SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI...CENTRAL
MISSOURI...AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS THROUGH MID MORNING
THURSDAY.
* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS WILL
RANGE FROM A DUSTING TO HALF INCH ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI
WITH UP TO AROUND AN INCH ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE OVERNIGHT MAY RESULT
IN A THIN GLAZE OF ICE IN LOCALIZE AREAS BY THURSDAY MORNING.
ICE WILL BE MOST LIKELY ON BRIDGES...OVERPASSES...AND OTHER
ELEVATED SURFACES.
* IMPACTS...THE WINTRY MIX WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ESPECIALLY ON
BRIDGES...OVERPASSES AND SECONDARY OR UNTREATED ROADS. SOME
TRAVEL IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED. TRAVEL CONDITIONS COULD VARY
CONSIDERABLY OVER SHORT DISTANCES GOING FROM WET ROADWAYS TO ICE
AND SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS.
