* FLASH FLOOD WATCH TO INCLUDE PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...ALEXANDER...FRANKLIN...HAMILTON...
JACKSON...UNION IL AND WILLIAMSON. IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...
BOLLINGER...BUTLER...CAPE GIRARDEAU...CARTER...PERRY MO...
RIPLEY...SCOTT...STODDARD AND WAYNE MO.
* THROUGH 10 AM TUESDAY MORNING.
* AN UPPER-LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL LIFT NORTHEAST ACROSS SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS TONIGHT. IT WILL INTERACT WITH A
VERY MOISTURE-RICH AIR MASS TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF 1 TO POSSIBLY 3 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED IN A SHORT
PERIOD OF TIME.
* HEAVY RAINFALL MAY RESULT IN FLOODING OF LOW LYING OR POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS. FLASH FLOODING ON SMALLER CREEKS AND STREAMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE.
