County,
Special Weather Statement issued April 29 at 6:02PM CDT until April 30 at 3:47PM CDT by NWS
Effective: 6:02 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016
Expires: 3:47 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016

MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL IS TRANSITIONING TO SLEET THEN SNOW
FROM EAST TO WEST. SNOWFALL REPORTS AROUND 3 INCHES HAVE BEEN
REPORTED IN PARTS OF CHEYENNE AND KIT CARSON COUNTIES IN COLORADO.
THIS HAS LEAD TO VERY SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS ON AREA HIGHWAYS
RESULTING IN NUMEROUS SLIDE-OFFS. THE MAJORITY OF THE SNOW
ACCUMULATION WILL BE NOW THROUGH MID EVENING FOR LOCATIONS ALONG
AND WEST OF THE COLORADO BORDER. AM EXPECTING ACCUMULATIONS AROUND
3 INCHES WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS AS HIGH AS 5 INCHES. ANOTHER
LIGHTER ROUND OF PRECIPITATION IS LIKELY BEHIND THE MODERATE TO
HEAVY SNOW TONIGHT. VERY LITTLE SNOW ACCUMULATION IS ANTICIPATED
WITH THIS NEXT ROUND.
