...WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELLED...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HASTINGS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT.
THE WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
* IMPACT...PERIODS OF SNOW ALONG WITH AREAS OF BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW WILL RESULT IN POOR VISIBILITIES AND HAZARDOUS
DRIVING CONDITIONS.
* TIMING...ADDITIONAL LIGHT SNOW MAY ROTATE INTO THE AREA LATER
THIS MORNING AND INTO THIS AFTERNOON.
* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...THE HEAVIER SNOW HAS MISSED MITCHELL
COUNTY TO THE NORTH AND WEST. CONSEQUENTLY...SNOWFALL AMOUNTS
ACROSS THE COUNTY ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 1 TO 2 INCHES.
* WINDS...REMAINING QUITE STRONG THROUGH THE DAY OUT OF A
NORTHERLY DIRECTION...WITH SUSTAINED SPEEDS OF GENERALLY 25 TO
35 MPH...AND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH. SPEEDS WILL VERY GRADUALLY
DECREASE THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT... AVERAGING 10 TO 20 MPH OUT
OF THE NORTHWEST BY SUNRISE WEDNESDAY MORNING.
* VISIBILITY...MAY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN 1/2 MILE AT TIMES IN
BLOWING SNOW.
