THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON.
* TIMING...THE STRONGEST PART OF THE STORM IS EXPECTED LATE SUNDAY
NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.
* SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE
WEST OF A LINE FROM COUNCIL GROVE TO HOLTON. 1 TO 5 INCHES OF
SNOW AND SLEET IS POSSIBLE EAST OF THE LINE FROM COUNCIL GROVE
TO HOLTON. AN AXIS OF ICE ACCUMULATIONS AROUND A QUARTER OF AN
INCH IS POSSIBLE FROM EMPORIA TO TOPEKA.
* WINDS / VISIBILITIES...NORTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE GUSTING BETWEEN
30 AND 40 MPH. THESE WINDS COULD SEVERELY LIMIT VISIBILITIES.
* IMPACTS...TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BECOME NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. THERE
MAY ALSO BE POWER OUTAGES AND TREE DAMAGE DUE TO THE
ACCUMULATION OF ICE.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS FORECAST TO ACCUMULATE IN THE AFFECTED
AREAS CAUSING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. THOSE WITH TRAVEL
PLANS ARE ADVISED TO CHOOSE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE...OR SHOULD USE
EXTREME CAUTION IF TRAVEL IS UNAVOIDABLE.
