AFTER HIGH TEMPERATURES MONDAY IN THE 60S TO LOW 70S...MUCH COLDER
AIR WILL ARRIVE MONDAY EVENING AND NIGHT...AS A STRONG COLD FRONT
PLUNGES SOUTH ACROSS MID-AMERICA. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL THROUGH
THE 30S MONDAY NIGHT...REACHING THE 20S AROUND SUNRISE TUESDAY.
THE COLD AIR WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE WORK WEEK...AND POSSIBLY
INTO NEXT WEEKEND...AIDED BY SLUGGISH MODIFIED ARCTIC HIGH
PRESSURE AND MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. DAYTIME HIGHS IN THE 20S AND
30S ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THE WEEK...WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE
TEENS AND 20S. THESE READINGS ARE 20 TO 30 DEGREES COOLER THAN
NORMAL. ADDITIONALLY...GIVEN THE EXPECTED BREEZY NORTH
WINDS...OVERNIGHT AND EARLY MORNING WIND CHILLS WILL BE IN THE
SINGLE DIGITS AND TEENS. FURTHERMORE...LIGHT SNOW AND FLURRIES ARE
POSSIBLE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT...ALTHOUGH
ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD BE FAIRLY LIGHT.
