...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST /MIDNIGHT
CST/ THIS EVENING...
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 14 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE.
* TIMING/DURATION...SNOWFALL IS SLOWLY BEGINNING TO END FROM THE
WEST. HOWEVER...LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH THE REST OF THE EVENING. LOCATIONS ROUGHLY ALONG A LINE
FROM NEAR ATWOOD TO THE COLBY AND BREWSTER AREAS THROUGH SHARON
SPRINGS TO TRIBUNE HAVE RECEIVED THE MOST SNOW AND WILL CONTINUE
TO GET THE BRUNT OF THIS STORM. EVEN AFTER THE SNOW DECREASES IN
INTENSITY AND ENDS...THE STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO
CAUSE SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE SNOW AND
VISIBILITIES BELOW A HALF MILE.
* IMPACTS...HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW CONTINUES...REDUCING
VISIBILITIES BELOW ONE QUARTER MILE. HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW
WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS WITH ROAD CLOSURES. BE
PREPARED FOR ROAD CLOSURES DUE TO HIGH WINDS...WHITEOUT
CONDITIONS AND DRIFTING SNOW. LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THESE AREAS
HAVE REPORTED NUMEROUS STUCK VEHICLES WITH SOME MOTORISTS
STRANDED IN THEIR VEHICLES. PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL TONIGHT.
* WINDS...NORTH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.
