.AREAS OF DENSE FOG CONTINUE TO IMPACT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS AND SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI THIS MORNING...GENERALLY ALONG
AND AND SOUTHWEST OF A GIRARD KANSAS TO SPRINGFIELD TO BRANSON
MISSOURI LINE. VISIBILITIES WILL VARY GREATLY OVER SHORT
DISTANCES THIS MORNING.
TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 30S. L0CATIONS THAT
DROP TO AND BELOW FREEZING COULD SEE A LIGHT GLAZE OF ICE DUE TO
FREEZING FOG. THIS COULD CAUSE SOME SLICK SPOTS THIS MORNING
MAINLY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.
THE FOG WILL LIFT BY LATE THIS MORNING.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...AREAS OF DENSE FOG AND PATCHY FREEZING FOG
WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND SOUTHWESTERN
MISSOURI THROUGH MID MORNING. VISIBILITY WILL VARY GREATLY OVER
SHORT DISTANCE WITH VISIBILITIES LESS THAT A QUARTER MILE IN
SPOTS.
WITH TEMPERATURES AT OR BELOW FREEZING AT SOME LOCATIONS...A
LIGHT GLAZE OF ICE COULD DEVELOP ON SOME ROAD SURFACES
ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.
* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI INTO EXTREME
SOUTHEAST KANSAS...ROUGHLY ALONG AND SOUTHWEST OF A GIRARD
KANSAS TO BOLIVAR TO BRANSON MISSOURI LINE THROUGH 10 AM.
* VISIBILITY...BELOW A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES THIS MORNING...AND
WILL VARY GREATLY OVER SHORT DISTANCES.
* IMPACTS...VARYING VISIBILITY WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES AROUND FREEZING WILL ALSO
RESULT IN PATCHY FREEZING FOG. SLICK SPOTS COULD DEVELOP ON AREA
ROADS...AND MAINLY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES THROUGH THE MORNING
COMMUTE.
THOSE TRAVELING SHOULD BE ALERT FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY
AND POSSIBLE SLICK SPOTS INCLUDING ALONG STRETCHES OF
INTERSTATES 44 AND 49 ALONG WITH STATE HIGHWAYS 60...65 AND 13.
