De Soto High junior sprinter Jordan Riffel jumps out to an early lead in his heat of the 100-meter dash prelims Saturday morning at the state track meet in Wichita. Riffel finished second in the heat to qualify for the final. Riffel went on to win a third-place medal in the final.
