Rain doesn't dampen festival excitement

De Soto Days Carnival is terrible this year. The rides were for little kids mostly and all were old and rusty. One ride last night was making weird sounds, so the worker just hit a pole with a hammer to get the noise to stop. Another ride wasn't open because they were welding on it. Also the rides were close to the boat ramp. Saw two young kids run down the ramp. What a waste of $20 for a wrist band for my kids. They would make so much more money and have better attendance if they would bring back the beer tent.
