This is taking way, way too long…mainly because the owners are “nickel & diming” the effort. And to anyone raising a stink, they trot out all their 3rd class cleanup contractors with a myriad of technical reasons for why nothing's happening. Rest assured, even the Feds have cleaned up seriously toxic & radioactive waste in less time than these clowns.
We need to put Sunflower into the tax base as a 'crown jewel' for Johnson County & the surrounding communities to attract top of the line, international firms. The kind of high-tech companies that will come here because we've already made the investments in education, the arts, civic infrastructure, etc….not turn it over to the 'good old boys' at KessingerHunter & their unimaginative, big-box distribution centers.
