Linwood city officials recently met with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to discuss whether the city could find the money to contribute to a project that would fix erosion problems along Stranger Creek. Douglas County Sheriff deputies, along with Eudora and Lawrence Fire and Medical personnel, work at the scene of a one-car rollover accident south of Eudora around 11:30 a.m. A 16-year-old Leavenworth girl going south on E. 2200 Road left the road to the right and went into a rollover. The patient was talking and alert and transferred to Kansas University Hospital by helicopter.
