- TONGANOXIE – Eudora High’s Justin Ballock scored 12 points and Drew Noble scored eight to help lead the Eudora boys to a 35-31 victory over De Soto in the third-place game Saturday at the Tonganoxie Invitational.

- TONGANOXIE – Ice cold shooting and 18 turnovers cost the De Soto High boys basketball team dearly as it lost to Silver Lake 44-37 Friday in the second-round of the Tonganoxie Invitational.

Cole Cannon wrestles during a 160-pound match against Louisburg’s Mason Whaley at the regional tournament in De Soto. Cannon won the match and the regional championship. Cannon and teammate Donny Parr (189) qualified for this weekend’s state tournament in Salina.
Dylan Burford (25) is one of five seniors on the De Soto boys basketball team. The Wildcats will play Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. Friday in De Soto. De Soto will open sub-state play next week.
