Wildcat wrap-ups: Basketball standings
The De Soto High School varsity boys basketball team has a current record of 3-2 at the start of the season.
The Wildcats started the season by placing second at the Hays Tournament with a 2-1 record. They defeated Thomas Moore Prep 67-34 and Great Bend 47-27 and lost to Kearney 73-61.
De Soto followed the tournament with a loss to Ottawa 52-46 but rebounded last night with a 61-43 win over Paola. Their next game will be this Friday at Eudora.
The DHS girls also went 2-1 at the Hays Tournament but placed fifth overall. They lost to Thomas Moore Prep 47-37 but then came back to defeat Great Bend 48-38 and Colby.
Like the boys, the varsity girls then lost to Ottawa 53-31 on the road but came back to beat Paola 41-36, also on the road.
