The De Soto Methodist church has recently had sermons on different religions and Christianity. Rev. My children have been keeping me very busy with their ball games and other activities. I've also attended some celebrations recently, including the 65th wedding anniversary of some friends in southern Missouri. My son Edwin and his wife, who live in Texas, told me all about the hot air balloon show that passed over their house recently. Their daughter, Paige, is teaching music and keeping very busy. Their granddaughter, Lisa, had foot surgery recently and is still in therapy.
The sick list just keeps growing. Arlen Gabriel is on the list, as are several in Karl Beesley's family. Ruth Zimmerman was able to return to church this weekend but several others were mentioned during the call at church, too many to write down.
Those celebrating birthdays this week are: Goldie Meade; Maxine Jackson; Wilda Shultz; Sandi Gulley; Carol Jackson; David Bedford; Evan Calkins; Erin Taylor; matt Woywod; Bailey Jean Bosworth; Sue Allen and Bonnie Logan.
