Water line break leads to temporary road closure

A 10-inch water main break led to the closure of Lexington Avenue between Penner Avenue and Commerce Drive, just under the railroad overpass, on Tuesday, according to De Soto City Engineer Mike Brungardt.

The break was located just under the edge of the road, requiring excavation work, which led the city to closing the road, Brungardt said. While the line break has been repaired, excavation re-fill and concrete work will keep the road closed to vehicle traffic until this evening.
