The De Soto Methodist church will be having their annual Election Day Dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 5:30-7 p.m. They will be serving turkey, brisket, meatballs and all the trimmings. Cost is $10 for adults and $4.50 for children under 12, children three and under eat free. Meals may also be ordered carry-out. They've been having this dinner since 1936 and it's always a good time.

The De Soto Baptist church will have their annual ABW craft auction and baked potato dinner this coming Sunday, Nov. 6, right after worship. The money raised will go to the church's expansion fund.
