Heat advisory in effect for Johnson County

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Johnson County in effect until 10 p.m. Wednesday night. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-upper 90s with heat indexes in the 105-110 range. It is important to drink plenty of fluids and to stay out of the sun. Children and the elderly are the most susceptible and should be monitored carefully, as should pets.
