First day of Starside's Summer Food Program sees big turnout

Amy Droegemeier, an administrative assistant for USD 232, marks how many pass through the line for food through the school's new Summer Food Program on Monday, June 6. The program provides free breakfast and lunch to anyone 18 and under and low-cost meals for all others. Nearly 500 people were served on the first day.
