Severe thunderstorm hits Shawnee

Bobby Holmes kisses his wife, Abbey Holmes, behind their house in the 6000 block of Quivira Road, where Tuesday night's storm toppled a large tree that tore off the back deck and landed on one of their cars. Bobby Holmes' mother, Charlotte Curry-Larrabee, who also lives at the house, said Wednesday morning she was thankful no one was hurt.
