Friends of the Kaw cut ribbon on new Riverfest rain garden
The Friends of the Kaw had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new rain garden at Riverfest Park on Sunday, Oct. 24. The garden was paid for by a grant from the Johnson County Stormwater Education Initiative and will be cared for by the Friends of the Kaw and the city of De Soto. After the ribbon cutting, those in attendance went on a community float down the Kaw from the De Soto put-in to the Cedar Creek take-out.
