Blues & BBQ Festival and Cookin' on the Kaw
Riverfest Park was filled with the aroma of great barbecue and the sounds of good music on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9, as the Blues & BBQ Festival and the Cookin' on the Kaw barbecue contest took place. Friday night started off with live performances by several blues bands and the People's Choice barbecue competition. Saturday morning kicked off the certified competition as 49 teams, the maximum number, presented entries in five categories to be judged.
