DHS defeats MVHS in Dig Pink match

The De Soto High School varsity volleyball team defeated the Mill Valley Jaguars in four games during the Dig Pink match on Thursday, Oct. 7. The match was in honor of breast cancer awareness month and raised money for the Side-Out Foundation, which promotes breast cancer awareness and research. According to DHS coach Lindsay Hothan, this match was the first time in memory, if not ever, that DHS has beaten MVHS. "It was a great night and we're all really excited," Hothan said. She estimates the event raised around $300 for the Side-Out Foundation.
