Open house showcases Oncimmune's breakthrough test
Oncimmune, based in De Soto, has developed a multi-panel blood test, the Early Cancer Detection Test-Lung, or EarlyCDT-Lung, to detect antigens produced by tumors in early-stage lung cancer. The majority of lung cancer cases, approximately 85 percent according to the Lung Cancer Alliance, are detected in late-stage form and have a mere five-year survival expectancy. An open house on Thursday, Nov. 11 allowed the company to showcase the laboratory where tests are performed to the public and receive open acclaim for their work.
