Successful run at state June 3, 2009

Several De Soto track athletes competed Friday and Saturday in the Class 4A state track meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita. The De Soto boys finished fourth as a team and the girls finished 15th.

The De Soto girls 4x800-meter relay team of Lacey Erickson, Shelbi Petty, Ellie Sheridan and Beth Reichenberger finished third with a time of 9:54.26 at the Class 4A state track meet in Wichita.

Colin Jokisch runs in the mile at the state track meet. Jokisch finished fifth with a time of 4:29.56.

Jordan Riffel, middle, runs in the 100-meter dash finals. Riffel finished second in the event with a time of 11.19.
