De Soto High School theater students relearn the lessons of "The Crucible" with a performance of Arthur Miller's 1953 cautionary parable
Betty Parris as played by Lacey Erickson wakes from an unexplained illness to accuse neighbors of Salem Village of witchcraft. The De Soto High School cast is presenting Arthur Miller's 1952 play "The Crucible" that explorers the hysteria that led to the deaths of 24 people from hanging, torture or imprisonment.
