The De Soto High School cross country team estabished itself as one of the premier teams in the state Saturday with a third-place boys finish and a girls state title in the 4A state championship at Wamego.
A plan comes together as Carly Stanley, Lauren Karnitz and Morgan Frehe shadow Baldwin No. 2 runner Kelsey Verhaeghe before all three passed her 800 yards from the finish line.
