How can I print the DHS boys basketball articles without having the pictures mesh with the articles? Was there an article written for the DHS boys vs Paola? vs Louisburg? and vs Atchison? I also noticed the St. james article was written as if a St. James newspaper wrote the article. Is this our hometown newspaper? We have already been robbed of a printed copy. The Shawnee Dispatch refuses to report on DeSoto High athletics even though we are in the same district as Mill Valley and we have many students from Shawnee who attend DHS. It would just be nice if there was an article about each and every game and one that didn't just say the event happened with a final score. This is the only thing that the boys can hang on to and keep for memories. There is a write up of the girls game last night vs. Tonganoxie. I believe the boys played right before them and there is nothing? I apologize if I am a little short, but when we moved here the DeSoto Explorer had the best sports coverage of any small town newspaper I had ever seen. And now we have what????

I agree. After the girls' comeback win in Louisburg the only article in the Explorer was the one written for the Louisburg paper. There was no mention of players names or pictures of the game that I recall. This season there have been several games that have had no coverage at all. I was looking forward to seeing the write up on the Tonganoxie tournament since both of our teams finished in the top 4 but I have yet to see anything. I have had several people outside the community comment on what great sports coverage the Explorer has for these kids. Not any more. All these girls and boys have worked so hard to get their teams to where they are this year and I truely hope the coverage gets better for them, they deserve it.
