Most of the lambs to be showed by the Pioneer 4-H club members are Suffolk-Hampshire crossbreeds and were born in February.
Pioneer 4-H sheep showers practice
The Pioneer 4-H club has 16 members in the sheep group. They meet at Denise King's farm in De Soto at least once a week to practice walking and showing their lambs for the fair show. Allyssa King, 23 and a former 4-H member herself, helps her mother with the class. "I just want to give back to the 4-H club and the other kids because I got so much out of it when I was younger," Allyssa King said.
