Artist Diane Burchett of Gardner works on an oil painting in the sunflower patch at Zimmerman's Kill Creek Farm during the Sunflower ArtFest on Saturday morning. Burchett was one of three artists who participated in the "plein air" painting event of the festival. "Plein air painting is a great exercise in painting, it can be very difficult because every time a cloud moves or the light changes, the flower you're painting becomes a different flower," Burchett said.
