Satinder Hundal ( in Shawnee) says...
“I feel certain issues do make a difference at certain positions. But, overall, as long as genuine welfare is kept in mind for all the citizens, party affiliation should not matter.”
Michael Sanders ( in Shawnee) says...
“No. Competently addressing local issues and concerns is imperative to being elected, which trumps city officials’ desire or need to adhere to ideologies representing strict party lines.”
Haley Majernik ( in Shawnee) says...
“I’m not as concerned about party affiliation as I am about the choices they make with our tax dollars.”
Stephanie Meyer ( in Shawnee) says...
“Not necessarily. Regardless of party affiliation, I think the focus should be on a candidate’s beliefs and overall governing philosophy.”
Norge Jerome ( in Shawnee) says...
“Partisanship in the mayor’s office and City Council is irrelevant. Of relevance, however, are effective management skills and an appropriate vision to meet the city’s needs.”
Gloria Bessenbacher ( in Shawnee) says...
“Good work and honesty are the most important requirements. However, depending on their party affiliation, I would feel more or less confident in their overall performance.”
Ray Erlichman ( in Shawnee) says...
“I think it does. It gives a person an overall assessment of the individual’s governmental philosophy. Very few individuals ever walk a straight party line but would probably like to be associated with like-thinking individuals.”
