Thursday is Veterans Day. Why is it important to recognize our country’s veterans?

It is important to reflect upon and appreciate the accomplishments and sacrifices of our service men and women. We owe them and the country they have defended a heartfelt day of recognition.

Our veterans have given up a part of their life so the rest of us can enjoy our freedom. We can never repay that debt, but we should continue to recognize it in every way we can.

As the daughter of a career Army officer, I’ve witnessed first-hand the sacrifices the men and women in uniform (and their families) make every day. How could we NOT honor them?
