What should the city’s level of support be in recruiting a new grocery store?

I would like to see a store, but I’m not overly optimistic a store would do any better than the old one. I think it would be a waste of money.

I support (City Councilman) Ronnie McDaniel. There are people in this town who really need a grocery store. I think the city needs to do whatever it takes to bring a store here.

Zero, It's absolutely money thrown away. Yes, we can have a grocery store but how much tax money do you want to give away. People will only shop here for what they forgot to get elsewhere else.

I feel it would be a waste of money and time. I personally would only go if I needed something last minute as I did when the previous store was here. It was and is cheaper to purchase necessities out of DeSoto, due to the large sales tax. I feel the Dollar General meets patrons as well as my needs currently. I fell strongly that the city should NOT do whatever to get a store in DeSoto.
