It’s kind of hard to narrow it down to one. I think people skills is a great thing. I think they have to know something about finance. Being a superintendent is kind of a juggling act.

Being a former union president, I think personality, planning skills and people skills make a great manager.
Darrel Zimmerman ( in De Soto) says...
To have a focus to balance the needs of students, parents, teachers and taxpayers. I think it has to a balance of all four of those concerns and not on one group.

Focus on each child as a working adult and foster an environment where he/she will eventually become the best scientist, the best electrician, the best retail buyer, etc. in an ever-changing world. Don't ever settle for average.
