Services for Dorothy Mae Barth, 94, of Lenexa, were Monday, Aug. 25, at Monticello United Methodist Church, Shawnee. Burial was in Monticello Union Cemetery, Shawnee.
Mrs. Barth died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Sweet Life of Rose Hill Nursing Home in Shawnee.
She was born Feb. 23, 1914, in Kansas City, Mo., and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Barth was a longtime member of Monticello United Methodist Church. She was a housewife who enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking and quilting.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Bill Barth, of the home; five daughters, Judy Blamberg, Overland Park, Sylvia Courter, Woodland Park, Colo., Pat Benn, Lenexa, Mary Canny, of Johnson, Kan., and Willy Snow, Eudora, Kan.; two sisters, Helen Davis, DeSoto, and Sally Bohack, of Orange, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
