Slow-pitch tournament benefitting American Legion Post 41 is April 16

A slow-pitch softball tournament benefitting the Tonganoxie American Legion Post 41 baseball team will take place Saturday, April 16 at Lyons Park in Lawrence.

There is a $200 entry fee with an eight-team minimum and 16-team maximum.

The prize pool depends on the number of teams in the tournament. With 16 teams, first prize would be $600; 14-15 teams, $400; 8-13, $250. First place also receives a trophy.

Registration is required by April 10.

There is a three-game guarantee, and one-hour game time limit. ASA rules will apply and there is a three home run limit per game.

Also, a home run derby will take place. There will be a $100 prize. There’s a $5 entry fee for tournament players and $10 entry fee for non-tournament players.

All proceeds go to the Post 41 baseball team.
