County to auction furnishings before razing old clubhouse
The Johnson County Park and Recreation District will conduct a demolition sale Friday and Saturday at the old Tomahawk Hills Golf Course clubhouse, the district announced Monday.
The new clubhouse for the historic course opens the first week of February, and the old clubhouse is scheduled for demolition later in the month.
The sale, at 17501 Midland Drive in Shawnee, includes surplus furnishings, equipment, and materials from the pro shop, concessions, administrative offices and day care facility previously housed in the building.
These nonfixture items will be disposed of through a silent auction that concludes at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Bids will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and beginning again at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Successful bidders not present when the bidding closes Saturday afternoon will be notified by phone.
All items must be picked up by 5 p.m. Feb. 4. For more information, call (913) 236-1226.
