Library plans GovFest for entrepreneurs

November 17, 2010

Many government and nonprofit agencies are available to help businesses start and grow for little or no cost.

The Johnson County Library’s upcoming GovFest event will bring these agencies together, providing easy access for beginning entrepreneurs or small businesses seeking help to grow.

GovFest for Entrepreneurs: What Government Agencies Can Do For You is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th St. in Overland Park. Admission is free, and reservations are not required.

Representatives attending this year’s event include the Kansas Small Business Development Center, KCSourceLink, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Kansas State Data Center and Heartland Procurement Technical Assistance Center.
