Hillside Village residents celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with music
St. Patrick’s Day parties weren’t just happening in Kansas City.
On Wednesday, some of the residents of Hillside Village put on their green clothing for their annual St. Patrick’s Day party.
“We like to do something special for the residents when we can,” Michelle Atlanson, Hillside’s activities director said. “The residents just love it when we decorate the place.”
Besides green cake and beverages, Scott McDonald, who toured the United Kingdom with Andy Williams in 2002, entertained the residents with his piano.
McDonald played old favorites like Nat King Cole’s “Route 66”, which got the residents moving.
“I like that kind of music,” Hillside Village resident Phyllis Rockers said. “I loved the party.”
