TONGANOXIE - Kelsey Fisher scored 10 points and Katie Gorman scored nine, but the De Soto High girls fell 47-37 Monday to Chanute in the first round of the Tonganoxie Invitational Tournament.

In the past week, the De Soto High boys basketball team lost two rotation players to injury. Shorthanded, the Wildcats opened up the Tonganoxie Invitational on Monday night with a 57-45 victory.
