GARDNER – The Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers proved to be too much for the visiting De Soto Wildcats Friday, winning 47-25.

The Wildcats hung tough with the favored Blazers for the first quarter, but a 23-7 run spanning the second and third quarter ended any chance at an upset.

Shelbi Petty led the Wildcats with nine points. Katie Williams finished with seven.

Gardner boys 92, De Soto 60

Big helpings of Bubba Starling and Jaydan Juenemann were all the Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers needed to cruise past the De Soto Wildcats Friday as they won at home, 92-60.

Starling led all scorers with 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks. Juenemann added 23.

Brandon Philbrook led the Wildcats with 17 points while Aaron Nutterfield shot in 10.
