Shelbi Petty scored 21 points, and Katie Gorman added 10 to help lead the De Soto girls basketball team to a 50-38 victory Friday at Spring Hill.

De Soto led19-13 at the half and used a 19-point third quarter to pull away. Katie Williams added eight points and Kelsey Fisher scored five.

Brandan Philbrook scored 19 points and Aaron Nutterfield 17, but the Wildcats fell in a shootout 85-77 Friday at Spring Hill.

De Soto trailed 42-26 at the half before rallying in the fourth.
