Health Department receives additional supply of flu vaccine

Johnson County Health Department has received an additional supply of flu vaccine at its clinic locations in Mission and Olathe.

The flu season varies each year but generally peaks in January or later.

The vaccine is for individuals ages 18 years and up, and the cost is $14

Clinic locations are 6000 Lamar, Mission, and 11875 S. Sunset, Olathe.

Influenza is typically spread from one person to another from coughing and sneezing. Health officials remind people that washing your hands is a great way to prevent the flu, as well as staying home when you are sick.
