JoCo Health Department schedules H1N1 vaccination clinic

Johnson County Health Department will offer a public H1N1 vaccination clinic for four priority groups Saturday in Mission.

The clinic will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last, at the Northeast Offices complex, 6000 Lamar. Doors will open at 8:45 a.m., and those attending are asked to enter through the south doors.

Vaccine will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis to Johnson County residents only, for the following two priority groups:

• Pregnant women

• Children 6 months to 4 years of age.

• Caregivers of infants less than six months of age or younger.

• Healthcare workers with direct patient contact.

Officials said healthy children ages 2 through 4 would receive nasal spray vaccine. Pregnant women are not eligible for the nasal spray vaccine and will be receiving an injectable dose.

Consent forms as well as vaccine information sheets will be provided before the clinic online at Health officials encourage those attending to have the form printed and filled out before arrival at the clinic.
