Baseball splits against Broncos
The De Soto Wildcats baseball season finally got underway Tuesday at Spring Hill.
The Wildcats won the first game of the doubleheader 12-6 and lost the second game 3-2.
In the first game, Daniel Peterson started and got the win and Eric Seymour hit a home run. In the second game, Tommy Elmer started and pitched well. De Soto had a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning, but the Broncos rallied for the win.
“We played really well and battled and did some good things,” De Soto coach Joel Thaemert said.
Next up for De Soto is a doubleheader against Ottawa on Tuesday at home.
